Once signed up, you create your hosting accounts through your reseller control panel, (Web Host Manager for Linux). It's up to you how many email accounts, mysql databases and other value added features you give your clients and how much you charge them!
Make web hosting packages to suit your client's needs and budget. You simply divide up the resources (bandwidth, web space and features) of your reseller package between your accounts. When you need more space or bandwidth, you can easily upgrade to the next level package.
Every account you create also has a control panel called cPanel, which allows your users to manage their own account without your assistance.
In the future, you may find yourself growing out of your reseller hosting plan. We offer an easy tiered migration path for our resellers who expand their hosting business beyond the limits of their current plan.
Reseller Hosting
Most of our customers will start off on a Reseller
hosting package. With up to 30 accounts, you can generate a reasonable revenue stream without any knowledge about the inner workings of your server.
What about RS100?
We understand that some of our resellers may have a large client base but not the technical know how to operate a VPS. Therefore, we still offer RS100 as an option - you can host up to 100 accounts. However, you will still be operating in a shared hosting environment, and during periods of peak load your customers could experience slowdown. That is why we recommend most clients consider a VPS instead of an RS100 package.
Virtual Private Servers
Once you have a larger client base you can consider a Virtual Private Server. You get your own slice of a dedicated server, hosted in our
Australian
datacentre for fast load times. You are allocated guaranteed resources on a VPS - this is ideal if your clients use a lot of resources at peak times. To help simplify management, we recommend our clients use MD server management along with a VPS2 or VPS3 plan.
Dedicated Servers
If you have some large and demanding clients, or you want the bandwidth and space that comes with US hosting, you can migrate to a dedicated server. Lease out servers similar to what MD uses for its shared hosting customers. You get the power and flexibility of your own hardware; and with 5 flavours, you can upgrade as your needs do.
